Lady Eagles fall at Lubbock Christian

LUBBOCK, Texas (Oct. 25, 2018) – Lubbock Christian (Texas) scored twice in the first nine minutes and eventually downed Oklahoma Christian 6-0 on Thursday afternoon at the LCU Soccer Field.

Lubbock Christian (9-8, 8-5 Heartland Conference) clinched a spot in the league's four-team postseason women's tournament with the win over OC (1-15, 1-11).

Hollie Windham and Haley Knesek scored early for the Chaparrals, who outshot OC 32-2. The Lady Eagles' shots came from Dakota Milner and Cameryn Covington.

Freshman goalkeeper Josie Knox made her first career start for OC and made 10 saves, tying for the fourth-highest single-game total this season by a Heartland goalkeeper.

Lubbock Christian's starting goalkeeper, Hannah Wise, had two saves in 78 minutes, with Tory Hudgens finishing the game in goal for the Chaparrals.

OC will wrap up its 2018 season on Saturday with a visit to Newman (Kan.).
