Box Score LUBBOCK, Texas (Sept. 8, 2016) – Lubbock Christian (Texas) broke open a close game with three goals in the final 20 minutes and beat Oklahoma Christian 4-0 on Thursday afternoon in the Heartland Conference opener for both women's soccer teams.
Lubbock Christian (3-0, 1-0 Heartland) scored in the 29th minute on a goal by Haley Knesek, but the Lady Eagles (1-2, 0-1) kept the game close most of the rest of the way despite being outshot 23-9.
The Chaparrals' second-half breakthrough started in the 75th minute with a goal by Claudia Sanchez and Lubbock Christian made it 3-0 minutes later on a goal by Holly Windham. Arian Parr closed the scoring for the Chaparrals with a goal in the 86th minute.

Carina Schanz made eight saves, while her Lubbock Christian counterpart, Sarah Palmer, had four saves.
OC will return to action next Tuesday, when the Lady Eagles will host archrival Southern Nazarene at 7 p.m.
