Box Score TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (Sept. 6, 2015) – The second part of Oklahoma Christian's season-opening road trip did not go as well as the first.

Northeastern State broke open a tight game with three second-half goals and downed the Lady Eagles 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at DeLoache Field.

In only the second meeting ever between the in-state rivals – and the first since 1998 – Northeastern (2-0) and OC (0-1-1) remained scoreless until the 21st minute, when Emily Burch sent a long cross over the OC defense and Anastasia Robinson scored to put the RiverHawks up 1-0.

It remained that way until shortly after halftime, when Northeastern seized firm control with two goals in a four-minute span. In the 47th minute, McKenzie Musella scored directly off a corner kick, and in the 51st minute, Jennifer Cudjoe scored on a rebound shot after OC goalkeeper Carina Schanz had saved a shot by Robinson moments before.

The RiverHawks' final goal came in the 85th minute, on a shot from the top left corner of the penalty box by Rachel Gleason.

Northeastern outshot OC 21-2, with Schanz making 10 saves for the Lady Eagles. Carley Cooley and Samantha Kuneman recorded OC's two shots.

Northeastern goalkeeper Jordan Woodruff did not make a save while recording the shutout.

OC's next game will be its home opener, on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Hillsdale Baptist.
