Box Score OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 6, 2014) – Alyssa Glitzke scored a pair of goals as Southern Nazarene rolled to a 3-0 win over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday night at the Eagle Soccer Field.
On a field waterlogged after steady rain that didn't end until mid-afternoon, Southern Nazarene (2-0) outshot OC 36-4, controlling the ball for much of the game and limiting the Lady Eagles' offensive opportunities.
OC junior goalkeeper
Lindsey Williams recorded a career-high 10 saves, helping to keep the Lady Eagles in the game until the final 20 minutes.
Glitzke scored off an assist from Bekah Stewart in the 10th minute, and the same duo combined on the Crimson Storm's second goal five minutes later.
Mallary Pineda sealed the win for SNU with an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute.
The best scoring chance for OC (0-2) came on a second-half free kick by
Amanda Cooper, which SNU goalkeeper Natasha Funetes stopped for one of her three saves.
OC will return to action on Tuesday, when they host another local rival, Central Oklahoma, at 7 p.m.
