Box Score SAN ANGELO, Texas (Sept. 19, 2014) – Loni Byers had two goals and an assist and No. 14-ranked Angelo State (Texas) extended the best start in its program's history, beating visiting Oklahoma Christian x-x on Friday at the ASU Soccer Field.
Angelo State (5-0) outshot the Lady Eagles 24-1 and jumped on OC for seven first-half goals. In one stretch, the Rambelles scored three times in 70 seconds. OC was far from Angelo State's only lopsided victim this season, as the Rambelles – enjoying their first-ever national ranking – have outscored opponents 24-3.

Madeline Roseke recorded OC's only shot, in the 61st minute, which was saved by Angelo State goalkeeper Natalie Nielsen.

Carly Caplinger saw her first collegiate action, entering the game in the 72nd minute and finishing with three saves.
OC (0-6-1) will return to action Sunday afternoon when the Lady Eagles visit Texas-Permian Basin in a nonconference game. OC and UTPB also will play later this season in Oklahoma City in a game that will count in the Heartland Conference standings.
