Lady Eagles Fall In Overtime

Oklahoma Christian University fell in overtime to East Central University, 3-2, in a women's soccer match-up here Sept. 23.

East Central's Michelle Grubbs scored on a breakaway goal in the 98th minute in a come from behind win for the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Eagles opened up a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by freshman Kristin Brown. In the 20th minute she received a pass from midfielder Erin Moore and touched it in for a score. Brown's second goal came in the 32nd minute. After receiving the ball inside the midfield line, Brown controlled her dribble and kicked a 30 yard shot straight in front of the goal.

ECU scored its first goal in the 36th minute on a corner kick across the OC goal and a shot back by Rheanna Tefertiller. The visitors tied the game two minutes into the second half on a deflected shot by Semah Yekzaman.

Oklahoma Christian, now 3-4, will play Northwood University in Dallas on Saturday (Sept. 25).
