Lady Eagles Fall in Nationals

After closing its regular season with five consecutive victories, Oklahoma Christian University fell to William Jewell (Mo.) by a 7-0 count in the first round of the NAIA Women's Soccer Championship in Santa Barbara, Calif. Nov. 17.

The Lady Eagles were over-powered by the 13th seeded William Jewell team and fell behind eight minutes into the contest. William Jewell's Allison Mallams accounted for four goals and teammate Kristen Neher scored twice. Shannon Eberle scored the final goal.

Out shot by a 25 to 5 margin, the Lady Eagles were unable to mount an offensive attack against the Lady Cardinals.

The Lady Eagles close the 2004 campaign with an official 12-11-1 record.
