With senior Megan Childers leading the way with a pair of goals, Oklahoma Christian defeated Newman University (Kan.) 5-2 in an intersectional contest here Oct. 11.

The Lady Eagles improved their season record to 9-5-1.

Childers scored in the first 45 seconds of play and again in the 41st minute of play. Both goals came off feeds from sophomore Taryn Caylor. Childers now has nine goals for the year.

Junior Rachel Wrinkle scored in the 51st minute of play on a picture book header into the net off sophomore Cassie Tyler's corner kick. Caylor joined the scoring activity with her eighth goal of the season in the 65th minute on an unassisted play. Freshman Andi Buck finished off the scoring with a header into the net with 9:15 left to play.
