All three of the Stars' goals came on long-distance shots that went over the head of OC goalkeeper Lisa Jorgensen.

After a scoreless first half, Elaine Fontes netted a pair of goals just 19 seconds apart to give OCU a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute. Fontes then assisted on Haley McIntosh's goal in the 61st minute to provide the final margin.

The homestanding Stars outshot Oklahoma Christian 31-10 (and 20-5 in shots on goal) as they improved to 3-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play and 9-0 overall. The defending conference champion Lady Eagles fell to 1-3 in the SAC and 3-6 overall.

Oklahoma Christian had won six of its last seven games against OCU before Thursday night, including two regular-season victories and a Region VI semifinal win last year.

The Lady Eagles host a non-conference contest against Park (Mo.) at 1 p.m. Saturday. Park leads the all-time series 3-0, but this will be the first meeting between the schools since 1995.
