Lady Eagles Shut Out SNU

The Oklahoma Christian University Lady Eagles registered their first shutout of the season with a 3-0 victory over the Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm in a non-conference contest here Tuesday.

Lady Eagles' sophomore Kristin Brown scored her first goal of the year in the 25th minute. She controlled a deflected shot by teammate Caryn Taylor and kicked to the right corner of the net past the goalkeeper for the score.

In the second half OC scored twice in a span of three minutes. With 33:37 on the clock, senior Megan Childers took a through pass from Andi Buck and kicked past the keeper who was charging out from the goal.

Then, at 30:39 Caylor took a pass from Childers in front of the box and scored on a 20-yard kick to the far right corner.

The Lady Eagles are now 2-2 and SNU is 0-2. Oklahoma Christian will next host Hastings College on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.
