Women's Soccer

Lady Eagles Win, 4-0

The OC women's soccer team beat Bacone College 4-0 here Tuesday, Oct. 28. The Lady Eagles' victory was the fourth shut-out of the season for goalkeeper Chelsee Truesdell.

OC junior Jessica McElvany scored the Lady Eagles first goal in the 11th minute of play after receiving an assist from freshman Kristin Brown. OC's second goal came in the 32nd minute when senior Susan Myers' corner kick curled into the net for a goal.

In the final period a Bacone hand ball in the box set up a successful penalty kick by freshman Meagen Pless, her first goal of the season. Junior Megan Childers scored her second goal of the year on a 15 yard shot in the 70th minute. Brown was credited with her second assist of the game.

Oklahoma Christian will host Southern Nazarene in the conference opener for both schools on Friday, October 1. The women's game is set for 5 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7 p.m.
