Box score

CHICKASHA, Okla. (Nov. 4, 2008) – Stephanie Duncan's 85th-minute score broke a 1-1 tie in Oklahoma Christian's 2-1 victory at Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Duncan took a pass from freshman Hope Heinen at the 85:32 mark and kicked home her team-leading 12th goal of the season to lift the Lady Eagles to the victory.

The win wraps up OC's regular-season record at 10-7-1 overall and 6-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The result also gives OC home-field advantage for the SAC Tournament, set to begin on Saturday. The Lady Eagles – the No. 4 seed – will play No. 5-seed Rogers State (Okla.) (13-5, 6-4) at a time to be determined.

OC trailed 1-0 at halftime on Tuesday after USAO got a first-half goal from Alex Cernigliaro at the 28:53 point.

The Lady Eagles knotted the score at 1-1 in the 60th minute when Heinen found the net with help from Emma Cole.

OC outshot USAO 19-5 in the match, including a 9-2 shot-on-goal edge. Lisa Jorgensen made one save in 90 minutes played at goalkeeper.

The 10-win season is the best for the program since the 2006 team went 17-2-2 and won the SAC championship.
