Sept. 20, 2007 - The Oklahoma Christian women's soccer team fell 3-1 Thursday night at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. OC is now 3-5 overall and 1-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
OC fell behind in the game's sixth minute when Ashley Guinn scored an unassisted goal. The Lady Eagle defense held through the remainder of the first half and went to the halftime break trailing 1-0.
All-Americans Kristin Brown and Taryn Caylor-Kingery hooked up 11 minutes into the second stanza to tie the score at 1-1. Caylor-Kingery found Brown for her team-leading fifth goal of the year. It was Caylor-Kingery's third assist of the season.
NWOSU responded in the 67th minute with another Guinn goal; she made it a hat trick in the 83rd minute to put the Lady Rangers up 3-1.
Despite outshooting NWOSU 25-7, the Lady Eagles were unable to cash in any more opportunities. The Lady Rangers moved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the SAC.
OC concludes its six-game road trip on Thursday, Sept. 27 at SAC rival Oklahoma City University.
