
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Jan. 7, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian men's basketball team ended a 14 game winning streak and an undefeated record in an 85-70 loss against Southern Nazarene University (Okla.) at the Eagles' Nest Thursday night.
Jeff Crocker started the Eagles out with the lead yet the OC men had trouble keeping with the Crimson Storm for the majority of the half. The Eagles trailed at halftime by 11 points with the Southern Nazarene men leading 43-32.
The Eagles saw difficulty in the second period as well and were unable to hold on to their undefeated record losing 85-70 to their cross-town rival. The loss is the Eagles' first for the season and now leaves them with a 14-1 season record and a 6-1 conference record.
Jason Taylor and Jeff Crocker provided the backbone of the Eagles' offense for the night scoring 19 and 18 points, respectively. Taylor grabbed another 10 boards and passed out for assists while Crocker handed out six assists.
David Jackson, Andre Vaughn, Chad Endres, and Devan White all scored eight points apiece for the Eagles to add to the total. Jackson had three assists and two steals on the night with Vaughn grabbing five rebounds.
The Eagles return to the hardwood to play the University of Science and Arts (Okla.) on Saturday following the women's game at 6 p.m.
