Jason Butch is in his fifth season as the Oklahoma Christian women's volleyball assistant coach. Butch is the longest tenured coach on the OC sidelines, having held this role since the program's reinstatement in 2020.

In Butch's second year with the program in 2021, the Eagles recorded their best conference record since joining the Lone Star Conference at 7-10.

The year after that, OC posted its first winning record in program history at 15-14. Following the 2023 campaign, the Eagles had reached double-digit victories in three consecutive seasons. During his four years, OC has posted a 47-59 record, including a 23-38 conference stand.

Outside of Oklahoma Christian, Butch was awarded the USAV Hall of Fame, Rebecca B. Howard Award presented by USA Volleyball in 2023 thanks to his work with the OKC Police Athletic League.

Butch has coached club volleyball for nine years for the Oklahoma Charge and other area clubs. Jason’s Charge teams routinely finish in the top 10 in Gold at the OKRVA Regional Tournament. In 2024, his 16 American team finished 22nd in the Liberty division at the Lone Star NQ and Top-30 at the Mideast NQ. Coach Butch also won a USAV Bid for 18 Boys in the USA division, placing 5th at the Dennis Lafata NQ. For over 10 years, Jason has coached 13-18s age teams at Charge and other area clubs.

During the summer, he manages and coaches the OKC Sharks, a successful beach volleyball program that has earned over 160 national bids in the past seven years.

He has spent time as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary High School in south Oklahoma City, helping guide the Rockets to state title game appearances in 2018 and 2020.
