Biography

Sport, Wellness and Recreation Management major … Two-sport standout who, in her four years on campus, has established herself as one of OC’s best-ever athletes … Back in 2017-18 to compete in her final season of eligibility in track and field … One of only two women in school history to earn All-America honors in two unrelated sports, having done so in both basketball and track and field (at the NCCAA level) as a sophomore in 2015 and again in basketball (at the NCAA Division II level) in 2016 … In basketball, developed into one of the Heartland Conference’s top players, a three-time all-conference selection who’s able to score from inside or outside and agile and effective in pressing situations on defense … In track and field, emerged as one of NCAA Division II’s best high jumpers in her freshman season of competition, one good enough to earn Division II All-South Central Region honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association in 2015 … Tied the school record for the high jump as a freshman … Has personal-best marks of 5 feet, 8 inches (1.73 meters) in the high jump and 37 feet, 3¼ inches (11.36 meters) in the shot put … 2016-17: Played in all 29 games (29 starts), averaging 18.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game … Led Heartland Conference in scoring and finished sixth in rebounding … Finished as the Heartland’s No. 2 all-time leading scorer – and sixth on OC’s career list – with 1,715 points … Posted eight double-doubles … Named as OC’s Ms. Eagle for 2016-17 … NCAA Woman of the Year nominee, the first in OC’s history … Nominated by the Heartland Conference for the NCAA Woman of the Year award … Named to All-South Central Region second-team list (D2CCA) … Named to All-Heartland Conference first-team list … Named as Oklahoma’s NCAA Division II player of the year by OklahomaSports.net … Named to the All-OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma Division II first-team list for third straight year … Named twice as the Heartland Conference player of the week … Named twice as the OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma Division II player of the week … Named to the Heartland Conference academic Honor Roll’s President’s List (fall and spring semesters) … Recipient of Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award … Great American Conference high jump champion and first-team All-GAC selection in that event … Named once as the GAC field athlete of the week … Named as a Crafton Tull/GAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete … Named to the GAC Academic All-Conference list for track and field … First double-double of basketball season was a 20-point, 12-rebound outing in loss to Central Oklahoma on Nov. 15 … Her second came in win over USAO on Nov. 28, when she had 13 points and 10 rebounds … Poured in 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting in win over Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) on Dec. 3 … Scored 25 points in win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 8 and was named as the Heartland player of the week … Had yet another high-scoring outing with 28 points in win at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Dec. 17, scoring six points in a late, decisive 11-0 run … Two days later, had 11 points and 11 rebounds in win at Newman (Kan.) … On Dec. 29, scored 25 points in loss at Central Oklahoma, earning her All-OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma Division II player-of-the-week honors … In loss to St. Mary’s (Texas) on Jan. 7, posted fourth double-double of season with 21 points and 12 rebounds … Followed that with one of the best performances of her career, posting career-highs in points (31) and rebounds (18) in loss at Arkansas-Fort Smith on Jan. 12, good enough to earn her Heartland player-of-the-week honors for a second time during the season and the eighth time during her career … Again posted consecutive double-doubles in loss to Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Jan. 21 (24 points, 11 rebounds) and win over Newman (Kan.) on Jan. 26 (29 points, 12 rebounds) … Final double-double of season was a 25-point, 12-rebound outing in win over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Feb. 18, for which she was rewarded with the All-OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma Division II player-of-the-week award for the second time … Closed career with two more high-scoring games, pouring in 27 points in loss at Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Feb. 23 and 27 in a loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith on March 3 in the Heartland Conference Championship tournament quarterfinals … In track and field, did not compete during indoor season … During outdoor season, won the high jump at the GAC Championships in Searcy, Ark., with a mark of 5 feet, 5 inches … Was named as the GAC field athlete of the week after jumping 5 feet, 4¼ inches in Wichita State’s K.T. Woodman Classic … 2015-16: Played in 29 games (28 starts), averaging 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game … Received honorable mention on the WBCA Division II All-America team, making her OC’s first female Division II All-American in any sport … Named to the All-Heartland Conference second-team list for the second straight season … Named to the All-OklahomaSports.net first-team list for Oklahoma Division II schools … Named as the Heartland Conference player of the week four times, the most of any player in the league … Named as the OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma College Player of the Week once … Named to the Heartland Conference academic Honor Roll’s President’s List (fall semester) and Commissioner’s List (spring semester) … Recipient of Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award … Named to the Great American Conference Academic All-Conference list for track and field … Ranked second on the team and fifth in the Heartland Conference in scoring, 11th in the league in rebounding and seventh in field-goal percentage (40.3) … Had 19 points and eight rebounds in loss at Regis (Colo.) on Nov. 14 … Recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in loss at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Nov. 24 … Poured in 22 points in just 17 minutes of playing time as OC scored a school-record 123 points in a win over St. Gregory’s on Nov. 30 … Followed that with a double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) and a career-high five steals in loss at Texas Woman’s on Dec. 3, then a 19-point, seven-rebound outing in narrow loss to No. 4 West Texas A&M … Those three performances earned her Heartland player-of-the-week honors for the first time in the 2015-16 season and the third time overall … Repeated that Heartland weekly  honor the next week after scoring 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting in win at Southern Nazarene on Dec. 8 … Shot 8-of-13 from the field and scored 21 points as OC beat Texas A&M International on Dec. 31 … Began a streak of four straight 20-plus-point performances by scoring 21 in loss at Newman (Kan.) on Jan. 14 … Recorded double-double with 25 points (on 10-of-15 shooting), 10 rebounds and a career-high three blocked shots in win over regionally ranked Arkansas-Fort Smith on Jan. 21, then followed that with 21 points in win over Rogers State on Jan. 23 … Those two performances earned her both Heartland player-of-the-week honors and Oklahoma college player of the week honors from the website OklahomaSports.net … Ended the stellar four-game run with 23 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in an overtime win at regionally ranked St. Mary’s (Texas) on Jan. 28 … Recorded her second straight double-double (and fifth of the season) with 14 points and 11 rebounds in OT loss at Texas Recorded top mark in high jump of 5 feet, 3¾ inches (1.62 meters) at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on March 26, finishing second in the event … 2014-15: In basketball, played in all 26 games (26 Division II runner-up West Texas A&M on Dec. 6 … On Dec. 12, set a new career-high with 29 points in win over Mid-America Christian, a performance that earned her Heartland Conference player-of-the-week honors … Had 23 points and seven rebounds in just 24 minutes in win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Jan. 8 … Poured in 25 points and had nine rebounds in road win over Rogers State on Jan. 22 … Recorded first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as OC upset Division II regional power St. Mary’s (Texas) on Jan. 29 … Followed that with an 18-point outing in win over Texas A&M International on Jan. 31 … The performances against St. Mary’s and TAMIU earned her another Heartland player-of-the-week honor … Set yet another career scoring high with 30 points in win at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Feb. 7, with 26 of those points coming in second half … Posted second career double-double in win at Newman on Feb. 10, a 14-point, 11-rebound outing in which she set a career high in boards … Had 21 points and eight rebounds in win over Rogers State on Feb. 19 … In track and field, did not compete during indoor season but joined the team for outdoor season once the basketball season had ended … During the outdoor season, qualified for the NCCAA Championships in the high jump … Finished second to earn All-America honors at the national meet in Rome, Ga., posting a mark of 5 feet, 5¾ inches (1.67 meters) … At the Southwestern Relays, jumped a career-best 5 feet, 8 inches (1.73 meters) to place second and tie the school record set by Charlotte Heron in 2007 … That jump earned her NCCAA student-athlete of the week honors and eventually earned her Division II All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA … Joined javelin throwers Katie Ostlund and Miranda Ostlund as the first OC female track and field student-athletes to earn Division II All-Region honors … Also was named NCCAA student-athlete of the week after her first collegiate meet, the Southwestern Invitational, in which she won the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 6 inches (1.68 meters), matching her career-best at the time, and unleashed her career-best shot put mark of 37 feet, 3¼ inches (11.36 meters) … After the season, was named to the USTFCCCA’s All-Academic Individual Team for NCAA Division II, an honor that recognizes performances both in the classroom and on the field of competition … 2013-14: Played in all 31 games (nine starts), averaging 9.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game … Shot 39.9 percent from the field (107-of-268), including 32.6 percent from 3-point range (15-of-46) … Posted 14 double-digit scoring games … In Heartland Conference stats, finished 27th in scoring during the regular season … Named to the Heartland Conference academic Honor Roll’s President’s List … In first career game, scored 11 points in win over York (Neb.) on Nov. 9 … Had productive trip to Hawaii, scoring 16 points in loss to Hawaii Pacific and 11 in a win over Chaminade (Hawaii) … Made first career start on Jan. 4 at Rogers State and responded with a career-high 19 points, starting a run of four straight double-digit scoring games … Had 14 points in loss to Washburn (Kan.) on Jan. 9, a career-high 21 points in a win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Jan. 16 and 19 points in a win over Newman (Kan.) on Jan. 18 … Had 14 points and seven rebounds as OC beat St. Mary’s (Texas) on Jan. 25 … Grabbed eight rebounds to go with eight points in win at McMurry (Texas) on Jan. 30 … Scored 15 points in OC’s loss at Texas-Permian Basin on Feb. 6 … Contributed 14 points and six rebounds in win over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Feb. 15 … Closed regular season with 14-point, five-rebound outing in win at Oklahoma Panhandle State on March 1 … Had strong NCCAA Central Region tournament, finishing with eight points and eight rebounds in win over Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on March 14, then scoring 16 points and grabbing six boards in title-game win over Mid-America Christian on March 15 … Made the regional all-tournament team … Scored 14 points as OC won at Grace (Ind.) in the NCCAA Championship consolation semifinals on March 20 … Previous school: Teaming with former OC teammate Jordan Gorham, led Perkins-Tryon High School to a 28-1 record and a Class 3A runner-up finish as a senior, averaging 13.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 53.1 percent from the field … Named to the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association’s All-State Middle East team … Also earned honorable mention from The Oklahoman on its Class 3A All-State and Little All-City lists and from the Tulsa World on its All-State team.
