A standout catcher for Oklahoma Christian's softball team the past four seasons, Niki Davidson will remain with the program in 2017-18 as a graduate assistant coach
Davidson, from Moore, was a four-year starter for the Lady Eagles, twice earning All-Heartland Conference honors and being named as the league's hitter of the week four times.
As a senior, she started in all but one of OC's 56 games this spring, hitting .272 with three home runs and 23 RBIs. She threw out 14 baserunners trying to steal, the second-highest total in the Heartland Conference.
In 2017, Davidson also made the prestigious Academic All-District team, chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America, and she appeared on the President's List of the Heartland Honor Roll each semester of her career.
She also is a three-time recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award as well as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete.
