In his first year on the diamond for the Eagles in '22, King helped OC to 21 Lone Star Conference victories, matching its most in-conference wins since joining the LSC in 2020.

King, an junior infielder, appeared in 15 games while getting the start in 12 contests and was tied for the team lead that year with a .313 batting average, claiming 15 hits in 48 at-bats with three doubles and two home runs while accounting for 10 RBI. King's senior season saw him saw him make 36 starts while holding a .236 batting average with 29 hits and 14 RBI.

Prior to beginning his college journey, King was an all-state baseball player for Argyle High School, where he was a four-year starter. The Lone Star State product now lives in Edmond, Okla., with his wife Kailey King (Kientzler).Â
