Biography

Early Childhood Education major … After an All-America career in basketball, is turning her attention to cross country, a sport in which she hasn’t competed since high school … As a sophomore in high school, finished eighth in the Class 2A state cross country meet … In basketball, was one of the most feared shooters in the Heartland Conference and NCAA Division II, who followed a conference freshman-of-the-year award by making the All-Heartland team as a sophomore and junior, then winning the Heartland player-of-the-year honor as a senior … Led NCAA Division II in scoring as a senior, earning All-America honors for the second straight season … Set numerous Heartland and OC career, season and single-game scoring records … Has four of the Heartland’s top six single-game scoring performances, including the league record with 45 points vs. St. Mary’s (Texas) as a senior ... In high school, was one of top prep scorers in the state at any level … Great shooter with deep range and a creator on the offensive end … Energetic player who loves the game and never tires … weekly award after scoring 27 points in a narrow loss to South Central Region power Angelo State (Texas) on Nov. 17 and 29 in a win at Texas Woman’s on Nov. 18 … Of her 11 30-point games on the season, the first came against Mid-America Christian, when she scored 31 points in a loss on Dec. 4 … In OC’s next game, against eventual Division II runner-up Southwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 6, she poured in 34 points in a loss, going 4 of 6 from 3-point range, and she made it three straight 30-point games by scoring 33 in a loss at Southern Nazarene on Dec. 14 … Set the OC and Heartland Conference single-game scoring record with a sublime 44-point performance in a 97-96 win over regionally ranked Eastern New Mexico on Dec. 17, going 12 of 12 from the free-throw line (matching the third-best single-game performance in OC history) and hitting eight 3-pointers, including three from 35 feet or longer … Was named as the Heartland’s player of the week after that performance … In her next game, scored 32 points in a loss at Arkansas-Fort Smith on Jan. 9, then had 35 points three days later in a loss at St. Edward’s  (Texas) … Scored 26 points in a home win over Texas A&M International on Jan. 17, moving her into first place on the Heartland’s career scoring list … Two days later, broke her own Heartland and OC single-game scoring records with a 45-point outing in a 51-point romp over St. Mary’s, including 21 in the first quarter that also set a school record for points in a quarter … She hit 13 of 23 shots, including 7 of 10 from 3-point range, to go with six assists and five rebounds … That performance came on a day when she was the subject of a front-page feature story in The Oklahoman’s sports section … After breaking two major Heartland scoring records in as many games, was named as both the Heartland Conference player of the week and the USBWA Division II national player of the week, becoming the first OC women’s player ever to receive the latter honor … Scored 37 points (despite going 0 of 8 from 3-point range) in win at Newman (Kan.) on Jan. 24, hitting 17 of 18 free throws to tie a school records for free throws made in a game … Scored 32 points and hit two free throws with 2.6 seconds left, capping a 17-point second-half comeback as OC won 89-87 at Rogers State on Feb. 9 … That earned her a fourth Heartland player-of-the-week award … In 38-point performance in loss at St. Mary’s (Texas), went 6 of 11 from 3-point range … In final home game, scored 31 points but OC lost 92-91 to Rogers State … Even so, Clift moved into second place on OC’s single-season scoring list … In career finale, scored 12 points in loss to Newman (Kan.) in the Heartland Conference Championship in Tulsa … 2017-18: Played in 28 games (28 starts), averaging 21.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game … Named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association’s All-America honorable mention list … All-South Central Region first-team honoree on the D2CCA list … All-Heartland Conference first-team selection … Named to the OklahomaSports.net All-Oklahoma Division II first-team list … Selected for the all-tournament team at the Heartland Conference (Texas) on Nov. 25 … That earned her her first Heartland player-of-the-week award … Four days later, on the road against another Division II power, broke the Heartland Conference single-game scoring record with 42 points in loss at Emporia State (Kan.) … Her 42 points ranked second in OC history and were the most points ever scored by an Emporia State opponent in the ESU arena … That performance also earned her a second consecutive Heartland player-of-the-week honor … Heartland weekly award No. 3 came after her star turn in a classic in Lacey, Wash., in which she scored 22 points in a 75-70 win over No. 24/19 Seattle Pacific (Wash.) on Dec. 18, then added 24 in an 87-72 win at Saint Martin’s (Wash.) the next day … She went 10 of 23 from 3-point range during the two-game classic … Poured in 25 points in consecutive games, a 63-50 win at St. Edward’s (Texas) on Feb. 1 and a 76-63 win over Rogers State on Feb. 3, hitting five 3-pointers in each game … Those two performances resulted in a fourth Heartland player-of-the-week award as well as the OklahomaSports.net Oklahoma Division II player-of-the-week honor … Ended the season on a tear, scoring 160 points in her final five games, three of those against the Heartland’s top two teams … Started the run with 35 points in a Feb. 17 loss to No. 3/3 Lubbock Christian (Texas), going 14 of 25 from the field … On the road at league runner-up Arkansas-Fort Smith on Feb. 22, went 17 of 18 from the free-throw line and scored 40 points in a loss … The 40-point game was only the fourth in Heartland history … Her 17 made free throws tied OC’s single-game record and tied for second on the Heartland’s all-time list … In the regular-season finale on Feb. 24, went 5 of 10 from 3-point range and scored 28 points in win at Rogers State … Ended the season with a fifth Heartland player-of-the-week honor … Led OC to its first postseason win in the program’s Division II era, scoring 32 points on 10-of-23 shooting as the Lady Eagles beat Newman (Kan.) 83-72 in the Heartland Conference Championship quarterfinals in Tulsa, Okla. … Ended season with a 25-point outing in loss to No. 2/2 Lubbock Christian in the Heartland semifinals … Was game with another 21-point outing (along with four steals) in overtime win at Texas-Permian Basin on Jan. 11 … Scored a career-high 24 points on 5-of-7 3-point shooting and grabbed five rebounds in 18 minutes in win over St. Edward’s (Texas) on Feb. 25 … Previous school: Attended Kiowa High School, where she led the Cowgirls to three Class A state-tournament appearances, including a trip to the semifinals in 2013 … Scored 2,739 career points, the second-highest total in Oklahoma prep 5-on-5 girls hoops history … As a senior, led team to the state quarterfinals and averaged 22.7 points per game, the third-best in Class A … Also finished third in Class A in field-goal percentage (59.1), second in 3-point percentage (49.1), first in free-throw percentage (90.5), 13th in steals (71) and 12th in assists (89) … Received All-State honors from the Oklahoma Coaches Association and the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association and earned Class A All-State first-team  honors from The Oklahoman for a second straight season … As a junior, averaged 27.0 points per game while shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 48.1 percent from 3-point range and 81 percent from the free-throw line … Earned Class A All-State first-team honors from The Oklahoman … As a sophomore, led Kiowa to Class A semifinals and made The Oklahoman’s All-State Tournament team … Led Kiowa to the Class A
