Biography

Business major … Left-hander who has performed well in both starting and relief roles during his OC career … Took a major step forward during his sophomore campaign … 2013: Played in 12 games (seven starts), going 2-4 with a 4.53 ERA and 33 strikeouts and 11 walks in 49 2/3 innings … Tied for team lead with two complete games … Was the only southpaw pitcher on the OC roster as a sophomore … First appearance of season came in relief on Feb. 6 against Division II No. 22-ranked St. Edward’s (Texas) and he gave up three hits and four runs (all earned) in one inning during a 13-4 loss … Made first start of season March 2 against Central Methodist (Mo.) and got no decision, going six innings and giving up four hits and three runs (two earned) in a 4-3 loss … Got first win of season in his next start, allowing two hits and one run (earned) while striking out seven in six innings, leading OC to 4-1 win over MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on March 9 … Took the loss in hard-luck fashion as OC fell 3-2 to East Central despite his five-inning outing in which he allowed five hits and three runs (all earned ) … Pitched a complete game but lost 2-1 to Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) on March 29, giving up six hits and two runs (one earned) in six innings … Threw 2 2/3 innings of shutout ball in relief in 3-1 loss to Bacone, giving up two hits … Returned to a starter’s role on April 17 against Texas A&M International, lasting eight innings and allowing five hits and one run (earned) with five strikeouts in 4-1 win … Pitched his second complete game of the season in a losing effort, falling 3-2 to Southern Nazarene after giving up five hits and three runs (two earned) and striking out six in six innings … Was OC’s most effective pitcher in 11-4 loss to eventual champion California Baptist in the NCCAA World Series, giving up four hits and one run (earned) in 2 2/3-inning relief stint … 2012: Played in six games (one start), going 0-0 with a 7.04 ERA and six strikeouts and seven walks in 15 1/3 innings … Made collegiate debut on March 13, getting the start against Briar Cliff (Iowa) and lasting four innings, giving up four hits and three runs (one earned) and getting no decision in a 5-4 loss … Pitched four innings of relief in 2-0 loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State on March 24, giving up four hits and one run (earned) … Had longest stint of the season March 31 at USAO, going 4 2/3 innings in relief and allowing nine hits and three runs (all earned) in 9-5 loss … Previous school: Attended Edmond North High School … Played on the Oklahoma Junior Sunbelt Classic team in 2010.
