Oklahoma Christian Athletics Launches NIL Initiative in Partnership with Opendorse

EDMOND - Oklahoma Christian University Athletics today announced a strategic partnership with Opendorse, the leading Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) technology, data, and service provider, to deliver a full suite of NIL resources for Eagle student-athletes.

Through this partnership, OC Athletics continues to elevate its presence in NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference by investing in a comprehensive, compliant NIL solution. Student-athletes, alumni, fans, and local business partners will gain access to industry-leading tools, education, and direct engagement opportunities.

The partnership serves as the foundation for Oklahoma Christian's official NIL initiative, designed to connect Eagle student-athletes with meaningful monetization opportunities while enabling community partners to directly support their academic and athletic success.

"We are excited about the opportunities this partnership with Opendorse will create for Oklahoma Christian Student Athletes. " Said Oklahoma Christian Athletic Director, David Lynn. "We look forward to forging new relationships and growing existing ones with the community around us that benefit both our student athletes and the businesses they will represent.  The ability to see our student athletes represent OC Athletics and themselves in a variety of new ways is exciting and Opendorse will bridge the gap for us and make this exciting new world a reality."

Key Components of the Initiative

  • OC Eagles Marketplace: Oklahoma Christian will introduce a dedicated, branded NIL Marketplace powered by Opendorse. Local businesses, fans, and supporters can browse, pitch, and contract directly with OC student-athletes for endorsements, social media campaigns, appearances, autographs, and coaching instruction.

  • Opendorse Deals+: The initiative enables fans and donors to support Eagle student-athletes directly through seamless, compliant avenues that streamline administrative tracking and disclosures.

  • Opendorse Education: To prepare student-athletes for long-term success, OC will utilize Opendorse's educational suite. Athletes will receive guidance on personal branding, financial literacy, tax compliance, and entrepreneurship.

"We're excited to partner with Opendorse because this is about more than NIL opportunities, it's about preparing our student-athletes for life beyond competition." Said Senior Vice President for Advancement, Athletics and Spiritual Integration, Chris Young. "At Oklahoma Christian, we want to help our student-athletes understand the value of their personal brand, develop meaningful relationships with businesses and our community, and learn how to use their influence with purpose. Opendorse gives us a proven platform and resources to do that well while creating new opportunities for our student-athletes and our partners."

Streamlined Compliance & Safety

Transactions completed through the OC Marketplace utilize Opendorse Wallet, ensuring automatic compliance reporting, automated tax documentation, and secure payment processing for both athletes and sponsors.
