Baseball Drops Series Opener at Cameron

LAWTON, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian fell in Thursday's opening game of this weekend's four-game series against Cameron, 14-2.

Brandon Cardenas earned the no-decision on the mound after relieving starter J.J. Rickert, earning two of the team's four strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work. Ruben Castro recorded the lone RBI for the Eagles while Trey Migl reached base safely twice with a hit and a walk.

Oklahoma Christian got on the board first without putting a ball in play in the first, before a seven-hit, nine-run bottom of the first gave Cameron a 9-1 lead. The Eagles were able to cut into the lead once more in the fourth, but the Aggies came away with the 14-2 victory.

The maroon-and-gray (10-25, 10-25 LSC) will return to McCord Field for game two of the series Friday, Apr. 3 at 12 p.m.
