EDMOND, Okla. - No. 14 Oklahoma Christian scored 17 of its 21 runs in the final innings of both games Friday as the Eagles defeated in-state conference foe Cameron, 8-0 and 13-10.
Being held to just one hit after five innings of play in the morning contest, OC broke out for eight runs in the sixth to claim the run-rule victory before using a three-run walk-off home run as part of a nine-run seventh frame to complete the day's sweep.
Jill Dickson (5-0) picked up her fifth win of 2026, logging her second complete-game shutout of the young season in game one.
Kadence Brewster (1-0) then got the win in game two after pitching just one-third of an inning.
Ka. Brewster continued to make an impact on the offense side of things, going 3-for-7 at the plate across the two games, including hitting the walk-off three-run home run to complete the game-two comeback. Sydney Seat (4-for-6) tallied two hits in both games as the Eagles' nine-hole hitter, including the game-tying two-out, two-RBI single before Ka. Brewster won it two batters later.
No. 14 Oklahoma Christian (9-1, 2-0 LSC), which is seeing its best 10-game start since the 2020 campaign, will take a brief break from conference play when it heads to Claremore, Okla., for an in-state, doubleheader showdown with No. 12 Rogers State starting at 2 p.m.
Game One: No. 14 Oklahoma Christian 8, Cameron 9 (6 inn.)
Oklahoma Christian was held hitless through the first 4.2 innings, while allowing seven hits in during that stretch. Thanks to some great outfield play from Seat as part of her team-high seven putouts, the Eagles were able to keep pace with CU, 0-0.
After Dickson's first three-up, three-down inning in the top of the sixth, the offense finally came through for the maroon-and-gray. Following a lead-off single from Seat, back-to-back doubles from Ka. Brewster and
Danae Lopez plated two runs, only for OC to rattle off six more runs over the next seven batters to claim the run-rule victory, 8-0.
Game Two: No. 14 Oklahoma Christian 13, Cameron 10
Oklahoma Christian got on the board three batters into game two with a two-RBI single from Lopez. The Eagles held that lead until the third inning when Cameron put together a four-run third for the 4-2 lead. Before the final half inning, CU saw six more runs while OC claimed just two more.
Trailing 10-4 with just three outs to work with, the maroon-and-gray offense, which had only seen seven hits through the first 6.5 frames, nearly matched that with six hits in the bottom of the seventh. With
Maci George using a lead-off double, the first four batters got a hit, including a two-RBI triple from
Kiley Brewster, to bring the score to 10-7.
After a wild pitch scored the eighth run for the Eagles, Cameron was able to come within one out of victory as OC still needed two more runs to extend the action. Seat started the two-out rally with a two-RBI single to tie the score at 10. After a George walk, Ka. Brewster delivered her first home run of the season to cap off a nine-run seventh and seize victory, 13-10.
