Women's Basketball Falls to Angelo State Saturday

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian dropped Saturday's contest to Angelo State, 76-64. Oklahoma Christian matched Angelo's shooting on the afternoon, 37.3 percent (22-of-59) to 37.7 percent (23-of-61), but left 13 points at the free-throw line compared to just four for the Rambelles.

Taylor Jackson recorded her fourth 20-point game of the season along with her third double-double with her 22-point, 11-rebound performance. Trinity Dobbs scored 10 points for the second time in three games while adding three assists.

Oklahoma Christian held a four-point lead early in Saturday's contest, but turnovers quickly caught up to the Lady Eagles as Angelo erased that deficit and never trailed again. The maroon-and-gray closed the gap to three with 7:07 in the third quarter, but OC made just two more field-goals the rest of the period as ASU took advantage.

The Lady Eagles saw their highest scoring quarter in the fourth, closing the game on a 7-2 run but the damage had been done as ASU left town with the 76-64 victory.

Oklahoma Christian (5-10, 1-7 LSC) will hit the road for the second time in 2026 when it travels to Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico Thursday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 17.
