WICHITA, Kan. - Oklahoma Christian men's soccer won the final 79 minutes of game action, but an early 2-0 hole proved just enough as Newman defeated the Eagles Saturday afternoon, 3-2.
What Went Down
- Within the game's first 11 minutes, Newman netted two goals to hold an early two-goal lead.
- Oklahoma Christian's high-octane offense against (RV) Southern Nazarene Thursday was held to just a couple shots on goal in the first half as the Jets went into halftime up 2-0.
- For the second time in two matches, Ethan Nakolo got OC on the board in the 58' off an assist from Igor Caballero.
- Less than two minutes later, NU extended its lead to 2-1 before Mason Tracey netted the match's fifth goal of the afternoon at 67:20 off a Nakolo deflected shot.
- The Eagles saw most of their offensive opportunities late in the match, but were unable to connect on any late-game shots as Newman came away with the 3-2 win.

- Ethan Nakolo, after scoring Thursday's game-winning goal, now has two goals and one assist through two matches in 2025.
- Sophomore transfer Masey Tracey from Irvine Valley College scored his first goal in an Eagles uniform.
