EDMOND, Okla. - After having not lost since the 2025 season opener, Oklahoma Christian's five-match non-defeated streak was snapped Saturday afternoon as Angelo State got the best of the Eagles for OC's first conference loss, 2-0.
What Went Down
- A first half that saw ASU win the possession battle, 57 percent to 43, resulted in a 2-0 halftime lead. The Rambelles took the lead in the 13' in what was OC's first time trailing this conference season.
- The Eagles put more pressure on Angelo's defense in the second half with six second-half shots compared to three in the first 45 minutes, but nothing was able to find the back of the net. A free kick from Jaycie Daggs was six inches too high as it hit off the top crossbar in the 62' for OC's best opportunity to cut into the deficit.Â
Notes
- Despite the loss, Oklahoma Christian's 2-1 LSCÂ record is its best such start to a league season since joining the conference in 2019.
