OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - On a night where
Ethan Nakolo secured the first hat trick of his career and
Mason Tracey administered two assists, Oklahoma Christian went to Mid-America Christian and handed the Evangels a 4-0 defeat Saturday night.
As a team, the Eagles had six assists with their four goals in an sharp offensive display. Along with Tracey,
Luca Friederich,
Igor Caballero,
Luis Alvis and
Luca Winder all registered an assist. Caballero left the night with an assist and a goal to highlight his evening.
What Went Down
- Three and a half minutes into game action, Caballero put OC ahead thanks to assists from Tracey and Winder, 1-0.
- Almost exactly three and a half minutes later, Nakolo saw his first goal of the night for the 2-0 lead.
- Tracey's second assist along with Nakolo's second goal of the first half came in the 19' for a 3-0 advantage.
- Nakolo secured his first career hat trick in the 65' off of successive passes from Friederich and Caballero.
Notes
- With Saturday's hat trick, Nakolo now leads the Lone Star Conference with six goals on the season, matching his season-long goal output in 2024.
- Six assists is the most assists OC has had as a team in a single match since 2021.
- Tracey's two assists is the most assists from an individual OC player in a single match since Diego Casero Comeche had three against Lubbock Christian back in 2022.
- 4-0 is the largest margin of victory for the Eagles since defeating Newman 7-1 in the 2022 season opener.
