EDMOND, Okla. - After an early 1-0 lead from first-year Lone Star Conference member UT Dallas, Oklahoma Christian rattled off three straight goals, including two in the first half, as the Eagles defeated the Comets in non-conference action Thursday night, 3-1.
What Went Down
- UT Dallas punched OC in the mouth early, getting on the board within the first 120 seconds as the Comets held the early 1-0 lead.
- 13 minutes later, Nakolo evened it up off a great downfield pass from Igor Caballero before Tyler Ackah-Wheatcroft hit Nakolo in the box for a header.
- Late in the first half, Ackah-Wheatcroft scored the eventual game-winner off a corner from Aiden Jordan, giving Jordan his first points of the season.
- With the 2-1 lead, Joshua Wells pressed UTD on a breakaway which found Nakolo for his second goal of the match in the 64'.
Notes
- Nakolo has now scored five goals in the last two matches. Five goals in a two-match span is the most for the Eagles in the NCAA Division II era.
- After securing four goals in their last match, the Eagles have now scored seven goals as a team between the last two matches.
- Ackah-Wheatcroft secured his first points in an OC uniform with a goal and an assist.
