ALPINE, Texas - Oklahoma Christian finished the 2025 campaign with its most wins in a single season since 2022, completing the four-game sweep of Sul Ross State Sunday, Apr. 27, 17-3.
The Eagles scored its 17 runs off of 18 hits, tying its second-most hits in a game this season. Across the four games, OC totaled 54 hits for its most hits in a four-game span since April 2023.
Oklahoma Christian's combined pitching allowed just three runs in the finale, ending the season with four allowed runs, including 11 scoreless inning across the season's final 14 frames.
How it happened
- All five of the innings in which Oklahoma Christian scored in were crooked numbers, starting off the with the first frame. Michael Adair put OC on the board first with a two-out, two-RBI in his final collegiate at-bat before being pinch-run for by Justin Spencer.
- Another two-run frame came in the third before four runs in the fourth opened an 8-0 Eagle lead. Sul Ross' first run of the game in the fourth proceeded another four-run inning for the maroon-and-gray, fueled by four hits and a Lobo fielding error.
- Sul Ross got its final two runs in the sixth to cut OC's lead to nine, 12-3, before the Eagles plated five runs to cue the run-rule.
