INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After back-to-back days of top-10 finishes,
Tammy Greenwood delivered Oklahoma Christian its first All-America bid of the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships, becoming just the second female Eagle to place in the top-eight as an individual in the country.
Greenwood started the day sneaking into the top-eight of the 200-yard freestyle with her prelim swim of 1:49.10, besting the ninth-place swimmer by 19 hundredths of a second.
That was all the opportunity the sophomore needed to climb the national ranks, cutting more than a second a half off her morning time to come in at fifth with a 1:47.52 swim, and qualifying for All-America status with top-eight placement while also setting the 200 free school record for the third time this season.
Greenwood joined
Cheyenne Denison from 2023 as the only two women in program history to earn NCAA DII All-America honors with a top-eight individual finish at that year's national championship.
The 2025 All-American will get day four started with the 100 backstroke (54.87) as the 15th seed.
Hailey Uhrig will join her teammate Greenwood in the pool Friday, Mar. 14 as the junior breaststroker will compete in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.87) as the 26th seed for her first event of the championships.
