Hot-Shooting Dustdevils Outlast Eagle Men Saturday, 76-68

EDMOND, Okla. - Texas A&M International shot north of 60 percent from three in both halves Saturday afternoon inside the Payne Athletic Center as Oklahoma Christian fell to the Dustdevils, 76-68.

The Eagles hit from downtown at a 44.4 percent (4-of-9) clip in the first half before making just 3-of-12 (25 percent) in the second half. Four of OC's threes came courtesy of Marco Foster and his team-high 22 points, along with six rebounds and three steals.

Oklahoma Christian's offense was in sync early, racing out to an 11-point lead just over eight minutes into action, 18-7. The Dustdevils fought back to even re-take the lead at the 3:14 mark, but OC did enough to head into the break with the 39-34 lead.

Both teams enjoyed single-digit leads through the first part of the second half before TAMIU got hot. With OC trailing by one with 5:58 on the clock, International made four of its next six field-goals, including back-to-back triples, proving just enough to put the Dustdevils ahead for good, 76-68.

Oklahoma Christian (7-15, 4-13 LSC) will take its final two-game road trip of the 2024-25 regular season when it heads to San Antonio, Texas, to battle No. 25 St. Mary's Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and then St. Edward's Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.
