Lady Eagles Dominate in Final Home Non-Conference Game

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian finished off its home non-conference slate Monday evening with a 40-point, 92-52 victory over Dallas Christian.

Four Lady Eagles scored in double figures, led by Sofia Lopez with a season-high 18 points, while adding eight rebounds and five steals, becoming just the sixth OC player in the NCAA DII era to record a 15-point, 5-rebound, 5-steal game.

Taylor Jackson recorded her first double-double of the season with 15 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in just 18 minutes of action. The maroon-and-gray offense recorded a season-high 17 assists, led by Kendall Brown with a career-high four dimes.

It was a slow start to the evening as Oklahoma Christian held an 8-6 lead halfway through the opening quarter. The Lady Eagles closed the frame on an 11-0 run and continued that with eight of the first 12 points of the second quarter to open a 26-10 lead at the 7:26 mark.

That lead ballooned to 25 at intermission, 46-21, before Oklahoma Christian saw its most lopsided quarter of the evening in the third. The Lady Eagles held the Crusaders to just 17.7 percent (3-of-17) shooting in the third stanza as OC used a 23-8 quarter to take a 40-point, 69-29 lead into the game's final 10 minutes, which is were it would remain until the final buzzer.

Oklahoma Christian (4-2, 0-0 LSC) will begin conference play Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Lone Star State against No. 13 West Texas A&M and then Eastern New Mexico Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. MT / 2 p.m. CT.
