INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Oklahoma Christian women's bowler
Jaymie Burrow was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Bowler of the Week, the league announced Thursday, Nov. 13.
The recognition comes after the maroon-and-gray placed 10th at the Bulldog Classic hosted by NCAA Division I Louisiana Tech. The Conway, Ark., native averaged 19.58 pins per frame across 24 traditional games and notched an average of 19.65 pins in 80 frames of Baker play.
At the completion of the three-day tournament, the senior Business major recorded an 83.7 fill percentage, a 47.1 strike percentage and an 84.1 makeable-spare percentage. Operating as the lead-off bowler, Burrow posted a 92.5 fill percentage and 52.5 strike percentage.
"Jaymie had a great weekend against a tough field," head coach
James Hayes said. "She showed senior leadership on the lane and was key in our success."
Burrow's honor makes history as she is OC's first-ever GLVC Player of the Week honoree with the Eagles joining the conference in 2024 as an affiliate member.
"It is a great feeling for us to get our first athlete of the week," Hayes said. "Hopefully with hard work there will be more to follow."
No. 24 Oklahoma Christian has two more tournaments this semester, beginning with the McKendree Match Games in Fairview Heights, Ill. Nov. 14-16 before closing out 2025 at the DII Thanksgiving Invite in Louisville, Ky.
