Women's Soccer Falls Late to St. Mary's Saturday, 2-1

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Eagles did not let the Rattlers first goal of the game stop them, eventually tying it up, but could not fill the deficit after the Rattlers' late-game goal, resulting in the 2-1 loss.

What Went Down

  • Oklahoma Christian held St. Mary's scoreless for most of the first half until the Rattlers delivered the first goal of the match in the 34'.

  • Then in the 77', Eagles senior midfielder Raquel Fanelli tied up the game.

  • Shortly after in the 84', with less than seven minutes left in play, St. Mary's put another goal on Oklahoma Christian to take the eventual victory, 2-1.

Notes

  • Fanelli scored her second goal of the season which is the most goals she has had in one season since her sophomore year.
