DALLAS, Texas - Oklahoma Christian opened conference play with a 3-3 tie against Lone Star Conference preseason favorite and United Soccer Coaches No. 10 DBU.
What Went Down
● After DBU scored the first goal of the game, OC was able to come back and scored two goals within two minutes. With one minute left in the first half, DBU was able to tie the game heading into the break.
● In the second half, DBU scored in the 75' minute to grab what appeared to be the final lead change of the game.
● In the final second of the contest,
Kyla Lovelace scored off a
Raquel Fanelli corner kick in the 90' to end the conference opener in a 3-3 tie.

● Sophia Acuña started her first college game ever.

Breanna Wooten had a season-high nine saves in the effort.
●
Kyla Lovelace had three shots on goal and scored twice, marking her second two-goal game of the season. Lovelace now has six goals this year and a total of 24 goals for her career.
● Coming into the night, the Eagles had not scored a goal on DBU since 2021. Three goals is the most goals OC has scored against DBU since 1997.
