Oklahoma Christian Drops 2-1 Game Against No. 8 Colorado Colorado Springs

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (2-2-2) battled No. 8 University of Colorado Colorado Springs (5-0-1) in a tough match before falling 2-1 to the Mountain Lions on Eagles Soccer Field.  

What Went Down 

  • UCCS started the game by pressing the Eagles and scoring two early goals in the fourth and 11th minutes.

  • The Eagles did not give in, as Igor Caballero put OC on the board with a great assist from Ethan Nakolo in the 22nd minute. 

  • Despite the Eagles' pressing attack in the second half, the Mountian Lions held on to keep their perfect season going. 

Notes 

  • The Eagles are the only team this season to score on the Mountain Lions in the first half. 

  • Caballero scored his first collegiate goal with his strike today.

Oklahoma Christian will host Central Christian College (Kansas) on Sept. 25th at 6 p.m. for their final non-conference game of the season.
