EDMOND, Okla. - The Oklahoma Christian women's volleyball program will get a taste of three conference opponents before entering true conference play when the Eagles take on St. Mary's Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m., St. Edward's Friday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. and Cameron Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m. as part of the LSC Challenge from Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio, Texas.
EAGLE OUTLOOK
Oklahoma Christian is off to its best start in the NCAA Division II era, winning seven of its first eight matches, including four sweeps. The Eagles are one of two Lone Star Conference teams to have a current win percentage of .800 or better at 7-1 (.875).
Through eight matches, OC's defense is top five in the conference in several statistical categories, including opponent hitting percentage (.148), opponent kills (11.41/set), and opponent service aces (1.00/set). Middle blocker

Chloe Jones tied for 14th with 3.62 digs per set. Oklahoma Christian is the only program with three players among the league's top 15 leaders in digs per set.
The Eagles are a combined 8-7 against St. Mary's, St. Edward's and Cameron. Last season, OC got its first win over the Rattlers since becoming conference opponents while it holds a .500 or better record against St. Edward's (2-2) and Cameron (5-2). The Aggies from Lawton, Okla., snapped a five-match losing streak to Oklahoma Christian last year.Â
SCOUTING ST. MARY'S
St. Mary's is 5-3 through it first eight matches for the second consecutive year. At its most recent Rattler Invitational, StMUÂ went 2-2 with a 3-1 win against Texas A&M International and a 3-0 sweep of East Central. The Rattlers are second in the league in opponent blocks, allowing 1.55 per set, while being fifth themselves with 1.84 blocks per set.Â
SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
St. Edward's comes into this weekend 6-2 after posting a pair of 3-1 weekends in its two opening tournaments. At their own Hilltopper Classic to open the season, SEU lost just one set in its first three matches, sweeping Arkansas-Monticello and Purdue-Northwest while defeating Newman, 3-1. St. Edward's is currently second in the league in points per set with 17.46 and fourth with a .226 team hitting percentage.
SCOUTING CAMERON
Cameron has yet to pick up a match in 2024, bringing its 0-7 record to Bill Greehey Arena. The Aggies have won just three sets through their seven matches, losing all nine sets at the most recent Oklahoma Baptist Tournament, exceeding 20 points in a single set just twice during that tournament. As a team, CU is hitting .093 and allowing teams to hit at a .293 clip.
