LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO

EDMOND, Okla. - The Oklahoma Christian women's volleyball program will get a taste of three conference opponents before entering true conference play when the Eagles take on St. Mary's Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m., St. Edward's Friday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. and Cameron Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m. as part of the LSC Challenge from Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

EAGLE OUTLOOK
Oklahoma Christian is off to its best start in the NCAA Division II era, winning seven of its first eight matches, including four sweeps. The Eagles are one of two Lone Star Conference teams to have a current win percentage of .800 or better at 7-1 (.875).

Through eight matches, OC's defense is top five in the conference in several statistical categories, including opponent hitting percentage (.148), opponent kills (11.41/set), and opponent service aces (1.00/set). Middle blocker Camryn McGough leads the defensive effort at the net with 29 total blocks, followed by fellow middle Megan Rek with 27.

Behind McGough and Rek, defensive specialist Sara Freeman paces the squad with 121 digs after she was named to the Rosella Meier UNK Fall Classic All-Tournament Team. Freeman is currently 10th in the conference with 4.17 digs per set, followed by Riley Daugherty and UNK Fall Cassic All-Tournament honoree Chloe Jones tied for 14th with 3.62 digs per set. The Eagles are a combined 8-7 against St. Mary's, St. Edward's and Cameron. Last season, OC got its first win over the Rattlers since becoming conference opponents while it holds a .500 or better record against St. Edward's (2-2) and Cameron (5-2). The Aggies from Lawton, Okla., snapped a five-match losing streak to Oklahoma Christian last year.

At its most recent Rattler Invitational, StMU went 2-2 with a 3-1 win against Texas A&M International and a 3-0 sweep of East Central. The Rattlers are second in the league in opponent blocks, allowing 1.55 per set, while being fifth themselves with 1.84 blocks per set.

SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
St. Edward's comes into this weekend 6-2 after posting a pair of 3-1 weekends in its two opening tournaments.
