Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (26-15, 22-11) hosted Texas A&M-Kingsville (25-16, 18-15) in the series finale Saturday afternoon.
Game 3
With the winds blowing out of the south with gusts up to forty miles per hour, getting the ball in the air was going to be an advantage for either team.
Both teams struggled to put the ball in play early, going two innings with a combined one hit.
Heading into the top of the third, the Javelinas cracked it open with a two-run home run to shallow left field. They would tack on another run and lead the Eagles 3-0 at the end of the third.
Jill Dickson and Grace Anderson did some good work on the mound, combining for three strikeouts and producing eleven groundouts and six flyouts.
The Eagles struggled to get the ball out of the infield from the plate and would not get on the board until late in the seventh inning. Kadence Brewster looked to start a rally with a leadoff double to left center. She would then steal third, putting her in position to score off of the Kallie Rupp RBI single to right field.
OC had a chance to tie it with the tying run up to bat, but it was just too little too late as the Javelinas stole game three of the series.
