Oklahoma City, Okla- Oklahoma Christian (2-5) took on the University of Arkansas Fort Smith (3-0) in the middle two-game double-header of the four-game series on Friday afternoon.
Game 1
The Eagles got down early in the first inning, as the Lions were able to get four hits in their first four at-bats, getting down two runs early before shutting them down and getting up to bat.
Pitching struggles continued to play a role for the Eagles at the end of two, they found themselves down seven.
The Eagles showed a little bit of light in the bottom of the third as the Eagles got two runners in scoring position before getting shut down and stranding two.
The Eagles managed to get on the board with a home run from freshman Daniel Serrato, his first collegiate hit.
The Lions continued their hot hitting and took the first game 14-1.
The Eagles looked to bounce back in the second game of the doubleheader.
Game 2
The Lions started the second game just as they ended the first by getting a runner on and blasting a home run over the left-field fence.
The Eagles looked like they were going to get their bats going, getting two runners into scoring position before getting shut down by the Lions.
The pitching by the Lions kept the Eagles on their toes and unable to get any momentum to swing the home team's way.
The Eagles, once again, were unable to get the bats going, dropping the second game of the day 15-0.
