Volleyball Goes 1-1 on Final Road Trip of Regular Season

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Oklahoma Christian leaves the Lone Star State for the final time this regular season with a 1-1 road trip after falling to AVCA No. 13 Angelo State, 3-0.

With the two-match split, the Eagles (19-9. 8-6 LSC) now just need to win its penultimate home match of the season Friday, Nov. 15 against Texas Permian Basin in order to clinch its spot in the 2024 LSC Tournament.

Saturday afternoon, the Rambelles hit .505 for the match while OC hit .136. Chloe Jones led the team with nine kills while Lauren Cary had four kills while hitting .500. Cary added two blocks to her afternoon while Camryn McGough led the defense with four rejections.

The first set started with the Eagles staying close to ASU, trailing 7-5 and then 11-8, before the nation's No. 13 team posted the opening-set 25-14 win. The second set saw the same score in favor of ASU before the first nine points of the third set came from the Rambelles to aid in sending the visiting Eagles home early.

Oklahoma Christian will return home for its final two matches of the season, beginning with UTPB Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. The Eagles will then have Senior Day against Western New Mexico Saturday, Nov. 16 at 12 p.m.
