LIVE VIDEO | LIVE STATS

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian returns to the Payne Athletic Center Saturday, Nov. 16 when it tips off against Randall University at 7 p.m.

EAGLE OUTLOOK (1-1, 0-0 LSC)
Oklahoma Christian has split its first two games to open the 2024-25 campaign. After defeating region foe Western Colorado in the opener, OC dropped a road contest at Southwestern Oklahoma State. For the second straight game, Javon Grant and Marco Foster led the team in scoring with 14 points a piece. Foster opened the in-state dual knocking down his first three triples, but he, along with the rest of the team, went cold for much of the second half to allow the Bulldogs to claim the 76-67 victory.

At 17.0 points per game, Grant is ninth in the conference, followed by Foster at 14th (15.5 ppg). Foster is also tied for ninth in the league with a 50 percent (11-of-22) field-goal percentage, along with shooting 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from long range, which is third in the LSC. Through two games, OC is eighth in the league at 29 percent (9-of-31) from deep while being second in opponent three-point field-goal percentage (24.4%).

The Eagles are plus-two in rebounding differential through their first two games, led by Miles Gibson with 6.5 rebounds per game, thanks to his career-high 10 boards in the opener against Western Colorado. Oklahoma Christian's record thus far has gone as its rebounding has taken them; in OC's one win, they out-rebounded the Mountaineers, 37-27. In the loss, the Eagles lost the battle of the glass, 35-29.

Oklahoma Christian and Randall first played each other in 2002, which OC took, 99-63. Since then, the Eagles have won every game over the Saints, riding a nine-game winning streak. In each of the last three years, OC has scored over 100 points in the head-to-head matchup, including last season's 108-65 victory.

SCOUTING RANDALL (3-1, 0-0 NCCAA)
Randall comes into Saturday's in-state contest 3-1 overall with wins over Kansas Christian College, Ecclesia and Calvary, all of which have come at home. The Saints have won all three of those games by double digits, with their closest call coming in the opener against KCC, 98-85. In road exhibition games, however, RU has lost all those by double digits.

Randall's offense is led by guard Braeson Barrs-Richardson, who used a 34-point explosion against Kansas Christian to help the Saints to the eventual 3-1 record they own now. Behind Barrs-Richardson's 25.5 points per game is Koby Reed with 13.0 points. Barrs-Richardson, Reed and Kainan Ryan are all shooting 44.4 percent or better from three-point range in the young season.
