RICHARDSON, Texas - Oklahoma Christian women's soccer put the finishing touches on its record 2024 season with four All-Conference selections, led by senior
Kyla Lovelace nabbing the conference's Forward of the Year honor.
Lovelace also landed on the All-LSC First Team, followed by
Jaycie Daggs on the Second Team and goalkeeper
Breanna Wooten for the Third Team. Daggs was also recognized on the All-Freshman Team.
Lovelace earned her first conference "of the year" award after pacing the Lone Star Conference through the regular season with 15 goals - an OC NCAA Division II single-season record. To go with her 15 goals was a league-most 31 points after recording one assist during her senior campaign.
Through Tuesday, Nov. 13's games, the now-two-time All-Conference selection was tied for seventh in DII with her 15 goals and tied for 16th with total points (31). The senior from Mustang, Okla. (
Mustang HS) finished up her career as the program's all-time goals leader (31) in the DII era.
Daggs appeared in all 18 matches for OC in her debut season, including getting the start in 17 of the contests, recording three goals and one assist. Two of her goals came in a 4-0 victory against Sul Ross State, both of which came via free kicks.
Wooten started every match that she appeared in for Oklahoma Christian, playing 1509 minutes while recording 72 saves, which is the seventh most in the LSC, and allowing just 22 goals - the ninth fewest in the conference.
Lovelace, Daggs and Wooten helped lead Oklahoma Christian to its first 10-win season in the NCAA Division II era. The trio will now advance to the All-Region ballot.
