DALLAS, Texas - The best Oklahoma Christian women's soccer season in the NCAA Division II era came to a close Tuesday night as No. 7 seed Oklahoma Christian fell to second-seed No. 9 DBU in the Lone Star Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, 3-0.
Oklahoma Christian finishes the 2024 season with a 10-4-4 overall record, including a 6-4-3 conference stand.Â
What Went Down
- The teams went from end-to-end through the early going before DBU opened the scoring in the 14'. Three minutes later, the Patriots scored their second goal of the night.
- In the 22', Kyla Lovelace had two shots blocked in the box as the Eagles were unable to cut into DBU's 2-0 lead.
- The nation's No. 9 team expanded their lead in the 35', heading into halftime with the 3-0 lead.
- Lovelace and Jaycie Daggs recorded the first shots of the second half for OC in the 72', yet could not find the back of the net. Â

- Oklahoma Christian qualified for its first ever seven-team LSC Tournament with its first 10-win season in the NCAA DII era.
- Kyla Lovelace closed the regular season with a league-high 15 goals, becoming the program's all-time goals leader in the DII era (31).
