EDMOND, Okla. - Four days removed from their last trip to Texas, Oklahoma Christian women's volleyball will return to the Lone Star State for another two-match road trip, beginning with St. Mary's Friday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. and followed by St. Edward's Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m.

EAGLES OUTLOOK (8-5, 0-2 LSC)
Oklahoma Christian's most recent time out on the floor came on the road at UT Tyler and then-No. 23 Dallas Baptist, both of which OC dropped, 3-0. Against Tyler, the Eagles held early-set leads in all three frames, including 8-3 in the final stanza, but late runs from the Patriots allowed UTT to prevail.

In the pair of losses, Oklahoma Christian's opponents hit .357 while the Eagles themselves hit .149. Through 13 matches, OC is hitting .202 and is allowing its opponents a .199 hitting percentage. Those numbers have Oklahoma Christian 11th and 7th in the conference, respectively.

Senior transfer outside hitter Riley Daugherty, after tallying her 1000th career dig earlier this season, sits 11 kills shy of the millennial threshold heading into this weekend. On the season, Daugherty is averaging 2.49 kills per set, which is second on the team behind Chloe Jones at 3.18.

Friday and Saturday will be the second meeting this season with St. Mary's and St. Edward's after battling the two programs at the 2024 LSC Challenge in San Antonio, Texas. Similar to OC's match against UT Tyler, the Eagles secured 20 points in each set, including 28 in the set, against StMU before the Rattlers prevailed, 3-0. Oklahoma Christian managed one set against the Hilltoppers in their first matchup, but SEU hit .352 for the match in route to the 3-1 victory.

SCOUTING ST. MARY'S (10-3, 2-0 LSC)
After starting out the year 5-3, St. Mary's has won five straight matches, all of which have come against LSC competition, while having not dropped a set during that span. The Rattlers are 4-1 all-time against Oklahoma Christian and have never lost to them in San Antonio.

St. Mary's offense through 13 matches has been one of the best in the league, averaging a conference-best 17.89 points per set and second in team hitting percentage at .245. Leading that offense is senior right side Alicia Virthe, who is sixth among LSC leaders with 3.45 kills per set, and junior middle Dallasstar Johnson, who is second in the league among players with at least 240 total attacks with a .369 hitting percentage.

SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S (8-5, 0-2 LSC)
As of Thursday, Oct. 3, St. Edward's sports the same record as Oklahoma Christian, boasting an 8-5 record and an 0-2 stand in the Lone Star Conference. Following the Hilltoppers' five-match winning streak, SEU is currently on a three-match skid, including a 3-1 loss to LSC-newcomer Sull Ross State on the road last Friday.

St. Edward's lays claim to a formidable offense and defense, owning the fourth best team hitting percentage in the conference (.237) while also boasting the third best opponent hitting percentage (.182). SEU has never lost to OC in Austin, Texas, but lead the overall series, 3-2.
