LUBBOCK, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (1-3-4) traveled to Lubbock for another non-conference matchup against a Lone Star Conference opponent, taking on Lubbock Christian (4-1-2).
WHAT WENT DOWN
- Oklahoma Christian's offense was the aggressor in the first half, outshooting the Chaps 4-2 and earning five corner kicks to LCU's two.
- Each keeper made a save in the first half to keep the scoreboard clean.
- Both offenses ramped it up in the second half, with Oklahoma Christian holding an 8-7 shot advantage.
- Lubbock Christian broke through in the 56th minute to take a 1-0 lead and against in the 62nd to take a 2-0 advantage.
- Ryo Higano got the Eagles on the board in the 75th minute for his first goal in an Eagles uniform.
- With the score cut in half, Ellis Jones ripped potentially the goal of the season from just inside midfield to tie the match at 2-2 on his team-leading fourth goal this season.
- Elliott Forestier forced a save in the 87th minute with a shot to the left corner, and that would be the last offensive threat for either team.
