Tyler, Texas - A nine-game winning streak matched up with a 30-game winning streak in a clash of the Lone Star Conference's best for the Lone Star Conference championship.

Jill Dickson got the start in the circle against No. 3 UT Tyler, and battled around a bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the first, only allowing two runs. One of the runs coming on a pitch in a 3-2 count that looked like strike three, but resulted in a run when it was called ball four.

The Patriots scored another run in the second inning on an error to take a 3-0 lead, but Dickson locked in allowing only one hit over the next four innings, sitting down ten Patriots in a row at one point.

With the dominant pitching, the Eagles waited on the offense to find its moment and they begin to slowly chip away at the lead.
Kristen Whitehouse found herself in the box with runners on 2nd and 3rd, after
Kelsey Gammage and
Hannah Pate singled, and
Brooklin Bain moved them over on a groundout.

Whitehouse took advantage of the opportunity with a two-RBI single to left center, cutting the lead down to 3-2. And in the 6th inning the Eagles found themselves with another opportunity to score, this time with Whitehouse in scoring position, Janzen ripped a double into left center scoring Whitehouse to tie the game.

After sitting the side down in order in the bottom of the 6th, Oklahoma Christian put runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs, but that's where they ended the inning at after a groundout.

UT Tyler put runners on quickly in the bottom of the 7th, and with one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tyler's batter poked a ball into right field to win the game for the Patriots.

Oklahoma Christian placed the most members on the All-Tournament team, with five Eagles making the team.
