Tyler, Texas - No. 23 Oklahoma Christian's season wrapped up in the NCAA South Central Regional finals in another battle with No. 3 UT Tyler. The run to the finals included knocking out Lubbock Christian with two wins over OC's sister school, and the wins marked head coach Shalee Rodriguez's first wins in the NCAA tournament.

UTT struck first, scoring in the top of the first on an RBI double, but
Jill Dickson and the Eagles got out of a bases loaded jam, holding the Patriots to just one run.

Whitney Walde and the offense responded in the bottom of the first, as Walde reached on a one-out double, and
Kristen Whitehouse drove her in with an RBI single to right field.

Another RBI double for Tyler gave them a 2-1 lead in the second inning, and they took a 6-1 lead with a four run fourth inning, that extended to 7-1 in the fifth.

OC didn't fold after battling the Texas heat and one of the toughest regional paths in the nation. Down 7-1 they continued to chip away at the lead, cutting the lead to 7-3 in the bottom of the fifth.

Aaliyah Brown got things started by reaching base after being hit by a pitch, and
Kate Bradley came in to pinch run for Brown.
Kylie Janzen ripped a single into left field that got away from the left fielder, and Bradley took advantage of the misplayed ball, scoring all the way from first. Janzen advanced to third on the play, and scored on a
Boo Robinson RBI groundout.

The Patriots tacked on two more runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-3 lead in the top of the inning.

Walde and Whitehouse each drove in a run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead back down to four. Walde drove in
Hannah Pate who reached on a walk, and Whitehouse brought in Bain who was hit by a pitch.

Tyler scored three more in the top of the seventh to hold a 12-5 lead.
Kylie Janzen reached on an error in the bottom of the inning,
Marissa Powell moved her third on a single, and she came home to score on a
Kelsey Gammage sacrifice RBI. That run would be the final one, as UT Tyler went on to win 12-6.
