Odessa, Texas - The Eagles struck first in game one before dropping both games of the doubleheader against Texas Permian Basin.

GAME 1

Hunter Jones got the Eagles on the board after two walks and put
Hank Heiselbetz in scoring position. The RBI was Jones' 23rd and he is now eligible to lead the team in stat categories, which he does with a .371 batting average.

UTPB scored thirteen unanswered runs over the next four innings to take a 13-1 lead.
Â
The Eagles' second run of the game came on
Blake Empkey's team-leading 10th home run, picking up his team-leading 33rd RBI in the process.

GAME 2
Â
Connor Jackson walked, and
Grant Lake singled to put a runner in scoring position for
Blake Empkey. Empkey knocked in his second RBI of the day with a single, to spark a four-run inning for OC.

Grant Lake scored on a wild pitch, and
Chance Westervelt notched one of his two RBIs in the game with a sacrifice fly scoring Empkey.
Coleton Hinkle ended the four-run top of the first with an RBI single, giving Oklahoma Christian a 4-0 lead.

The Falcons scored seven runs over the next two innings to take a 7-4 lead over OC.

Westervelt's second RBI of the day came on a double that scored Empkey, to cut the lead to 7-5 in the top of the third inning.

UTPB scored five more runs in the bottom of the inning to extend the lead to 12-5.

Grant Lake solo shot, his third of the season, got the Eagles on the board in the top of the fifth to cut into the lead. And a passed ball in the sixth scored Hinkle, to cut the lead down to five.

Five runs in the bottom of the sixth gave Permian Basin a 17-7 lead, which would go on to be the final result.
