Austin, Texas - Every batter with an at-bat had at least one hit, led by
Preston King with five hits in a roller coaster of a game in Austin.
Blake Empkey hit his second home run of the series, a three-run shot to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. An
Ethan Box walk followed the home run, Box advanced to second on an error, and
Hank Heiselbetz drove him in with an RBI single.
With the 4-0 lead,
Matthew Shira worked around a batter who reached on an error with no outs.
OC had a quiet top of the second, and SEU responded, cutting the lead in half with two runs on two hits, cutting the lead to 4-2 after two innings.
Marcus Johnsons singled but was picked off to leadoff the third inning, but Box and
Grant Lake reached singles to put runners on first and second.
Jaren Hill followed the singles by touching 'em on all for the Eagles' second three-run homer of the game, extending the lead to 7-2.
A single, a fielder's choice RBI, and a two-run home run gave the Hilltoppers four runs in the bottom of the third to cut the OC lead to 7-6.
Preston King picked up his second hit of the day, a solo shot to give Oklahoma Christian an 8-6 lead in the top of the 4th. And OC's pitching held SEU scoreless in the bottom of the inning.
A scoreless fifth led to a not-so-scoreless sixth when the Hilltoppers put up a seven spot on five hits to take a 13-8.
Eagles' pitching settled back in, and in the top of the 8th,
Jaren Hill hit his second home run of the game to chip away at the Hilltoppers' lead.
Oklahoma Christian scored four runs with two outs to tie the game at 13 in the top of the ninth. The rally was fueled by four consecutive hits to lead off by a Heiselbetz double.
Jaren Hill followed that with a single, and
Aaron Hunter picked up an RBI with a single of his own. King made it three straight singles to load the bases, and
Hunter Jones earned an RBI after being hit by a pitch.
Blake Empkey picked the single rally back up, securing his fourth and fifth RBIs of the afternoon to tie the game for OC.
Back-to-back walks and a wild pitch led to runners on first and second in the bottom of the ninth, and an error resulted in the game-winning run for the Hilltoppers.

Blake Empkey went 2 for five with 5 RBIs and a run, and
Jaren Hill went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and 3 runs.
