Portales, N.M. - The Eagles' offense produced twenty runs on thirty hits in a doubleheader battle in Portales.

GAME 1
Â
A sacrifice fly RBI gave the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead after one inning, but the Eagles responded quickly in the top of the second.

With runners on first and second and two outs, OC scored four runs on three hits to take a 4-1 lead.
Jaren Hill singled to left field, scoring
Chance Westervelt, who reached on a walk.
Justin Spencer gave the Eagles the lead with an RBI double, and a
Hank Heiselbetz two-RBI double put Oklahoma Christian on top, 4-1.Â

Eastern tied the game in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI single and a two-RBI single and took the lead in the fourth with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly RBI.

Ethan Box returned the favor with a solo home run of his own in the top of the sixth, and
Justin Spencer tied the game with an RBI single.
Â
The game went into extra innings, and Eastern won 7-6 on a walk-off single.

GAME 2
Â
Oklahoma Christian jumped out on top early in the top of the first with three straight hits, a
Hank Heiselbetz single, and back-to-back RBI doubles from
Blake Empkey and
Marcus Johnson.
Â
Eastern New Mexico scored seven in the bottom of the first on three hits and several walks, and an 8th run was added in the bottom of the second on a solo home run to take an 8-2 lead.

Seven straight hits highlight a five-run top of the third inning. Empkey singled, leading to a
Marcus Johnson two-run home run.
Hunter Jones tripled, leading to a
Chance Westervelt two-run home run, and OC went back-to-back with a
Michael DiFiore solo shot. The rally for OC was cut short due to a bizarre interference call that resulted in an inning-ending double play.

With the lead cut down to one, ENMU responded by tacking on three runs to stretch the lead back out to 11-7.

Hunter Jones cut into the lead for OC with an RBI ground-rule double, scoring
Hank Heiselbetz. And after Eastern took a 15-8 lead in the bottom of the fourth Eagles' offense rallied again.

Jaren Hill led the inning off with a triple, and Heiselbetz brought him across the plate with an RBI single. Empkey sent a home run to left field for his team-leading 36th and 37th RBIs of the season, cutting the lead to 15-11. And Westervelt cashed in with runners in scoring position picking up two RBIs with a double to cut the lead down to two.

Heiselbetz added another run for OC in the 6th with an RBI single to cut the lead to 15-14 before ENMU added three more runs in the bottom half of the inning.
